F: FAQ about Story Mode
Q1 I've just started playing Story Mode. Where should I begin?
As you progress through Story Mode, the speed of the rivals increases. The difficulties have been set based on the assumption that your car is tuned and therefore faster. You should start from Story 1 and work your way through the episodes one by one.
Q2 I cannot select Episode 5.
In Story Mode, for every five stories, you have to clear the four preceding stories before you can move on to the next story.
Q3 I cannot select Episode 20.
In Story Mode, for every 20 stories, you have to clear the 19 preceding stories before you can move on to the next story.
Q4 I can't beat the rivals because they are too fast.(Episode 1-20)
The reasons might be:
  1. Not enough tuning
  2. Not enough practice

If you correspond to case 1, you may be challenging rivals with higher ranks too early. Race with rivals corresponding to your tunings and improve your own tunings. If the case is 2, practice is the only answer.

Q5 I can't beat the rivals because they are too fast. (Episode 21 and onwards)
The reasons might be:
  1. Not enough tuning
  2. Not enough practice
  3. Your settings are inappropriate

If the case is 3, please try to change your car's settings to fit the driving course displayed on the right of the rival selection screen.

Q6 When I reach Episode 21, I cannot select any episodes other than 21.
You have to complete episodes one by one from episode 21 to 100 in the same way as the storyline of the original comics.
Q7 How many episodes are there in Story Mode?
There are 100 stories in Story Mode. If you complete all 100 episodes, you will see the ending of the game and then the game starts from episode 1 again (the difficulty depends on your car's tuning status).
The completion status of story mode can be checked in the card data confirmation screen (2/9).
Q8 Is the difficulty level of Story Mode different in different arcades?
No. The difficult of Story Mode is fixed, so it will be the same no matter where you play.
Q9 I saw a character who is not from Wangan Midnight appears in the Story Mode.
It may happen.
