WANGAN MIDNIGHT MAXIMUMTUNE 3DX

FAQ

Q1 What is Ghost Versus Battle Mode?
Ghost Versus Battle Mode is a mode where you use your "ghost" to race. The ghost is created when a real player plays Ghost Versus Battle Mode. The ghost remembers the driving style of the player from which it was created, and copies the driving of that player when it races. Although it is a ghost, it has a material form in the game, so you can crash into it during the game like any other car. As the ghost remembers the driving style and habits of the player from which it was created, it really feels like you are up against a real player.
In this mode, you can get dress-up parts with which you can change the appearance of your car. You get these parts according to your results.
Q2 I want to play Ghost Versus Battle mode, but I can't find the "Ghost Versus Battle mode" option on the game mode selection screen.
Are you playing without a card? It is not possible to play Ghost Versus Battle Mode unless you have a Tuning card. If you use a card, the option to play Ghost Versus Battle Mode will appear on the game mode selection screen.
Q3 Where is the ghost saved?
It's stored in the game machine where you played the game. If the machine is connected to other machines, the ghost is shared with them and you can call your ghost from the connected machine. (ghosts can be shared between a maximum of four cabinets) Up to 1,000 ghosts (equal to 1,000 cards) are saved.
Q4 What happens if the game machine has more than 1,000 ghosts?
If the machine has more than 1,000 ghosts, the unused ghosts are deleted one by one according to the following conditions.
  • Ghosts whose owner has not renewed.
  • Ghosts who have not been selected by other players
  • Ghosts renewed a long time previously
Q5 How do I choose a ghost to battle with?
You can choose a ghost by one of the following methods.
  • Select by level
From the ghosts saved in the machine, you can select the opponent by specifying your tuning level (the number of tuning gauges gained in Story mode). A random selection of ten ghosts that have the same level as you will be shown. You can challenge the top player's ghost.
This is an easy way to try Ghost battle for the first time.
  • Choose by battle history
The ghosts that you have battled are stored in a battle history list. You can choose any of these ghosts. This option is good for people who often play the same opponent or play the same opponent several times in a row.
  • Choose a re-match opponent
If somebody challenges and beats your ghost, that person will go onto your "Re-match List". Once you have people on your re-match list, you will be able to choose a re-match opponent from that list.
This option lets you take revenge on those detestable creatures that beat your ghost.
  • Search by Card Name
You can search for an opponent by Card Name.
(you can also search using the 4-digit number printed on the top right of the card)
This option is handy if you want to play against your friend's ghost.
Q6 What's a "Re-match List"? How do I make one?
The re-match list is a list of people who have beaten your ghost.
If you choose an opponent out of your revenge list, the race will become a "Re-match". If you win the re-match, the defeated opponent will be deleted from your re-match list.
You can register up to 9 opponents in a Re-Match List. If there are more than 9 opponents, the opponents whose date of registration is older are deleted one by one. When the same opponent beats your ghost several times, only the player's status during the most recent of your losses will be recorded.
Q7 When I started the game, the message "Challenge received!" was suddenly displayed on the screen.
If your ghost has been defeated by another player since you left the game machine, the message "Challenge received!" is displayed on the screen. The last player to have beaten your ghost will be displayed. Selecting "YES" here starts the re-match directly. It's a short cut to taking part in a re-match.
Q8 What courses can I race on in Ghost Versus Battle mode?
There is no fixed course for Ghost Battle Mode. You can choose a course from the following seven: C1, New Belt Line, Wangan Line, Yokohane Line, Nagoya Speed Ring, Hanshin Expressway Loop Line, Hakone. After the race has started, it will progress along branches suited to the particular ghost.
Q9 I am too lazy to enter card names in "Select by card name".
In "Select by card name", you can simplify the card name input in the following way:
  • This works if the number of registered ghost is less than 10.
In the right of the screen for card name input, you will find the message "**** ghosts found!".
As you enter a card name, the number of matched ghosts is displayed there. (The number of ghosts who have a letter/letters entered for searching in their card name)
Up 10 ghosts are displayed on the screen by this search, so if the number of the ghosts is less than 10, you do not have to enter the full card name of the target ghost.
Example) You are searching a ghost by the card name "LUCKY".
    Enter "L": "120 ghosts found"
    Enter "LU": "32 ghosts found"
Enter "LUC": "9 ghosts found" -> You can go to the next screen.
  • Use card number
There is a 4-digit Card Number printed on the top right of the card. You can search for ghosts using this 4-digit number.
Q10 I want to race with the fastest ghosts possible!
We recommend you use "Challenge the top player!". You can find the "Challenge the top player!" option at the right of the screen when you select a level in "Select by level". If you select this option, the top player's ghosts in each driving area are displayed on the screen.
Q11 What proves someone is the top player?
For every area, there is a ghost that holds a "Crown" for that area. When the ghost with the crown is beaten, the crown will move to the winner. After this has happens a few times, the strongest player for that area will end up with the crown. If you choose "Challenge the top player!" it means you are challenging the ghosts with a crown.
If you become the top player, your ghost is displayed in Attract.
