I: FAQ about Dress-up Tuning
Q1 My car was dressed up in Ghost Battle mode. What are Dress-ups?
In Wangan Maxi 3DX, you can change (customize) your car's appearance. We call it "Dress-up".
Q2 How can I dress-up my car?
In Ghost Battle mode, you can get dress-up points corresponding to your battle record. If you have enough dress-up points, one dress-up part is given to you to dress up your car. You cannot get dress-up points anywhere other than Ghost Battle mode.
Q3 How do I get dress-up points?
You get dress-up points when you beat your opponent in Ghost Versus Battle Mode (you also get some points if you lose.)
Q4 How can I get dress-up points easily?
How many dress-up points you can get depends on the level of your opponent.
We set opponents with the same level as you to 1, so...
Level of your opponent Lower than yours Same as yours Higher than yours Re-match
When you win 0.5 1.0 1.5 1.5
When you lose 0 0.5 0.5 0.5
*Re-Match = Race with an opponent from "Select a player who has defeated you." In this case, the level of the opponent is irrelevant.
Q5 What is the Dress-up level I see at dress-up tuning?
The dress-up level indicates the status of dress-up tuning in an integrated fashion. In dress-up tuning, you can customize the appearance of your car as you like, or you can keep the initial appearance. So, you cannot check the status of dress-up tuning by checking the appearance of your car. So we use an indicator called Dress-up level for you to check the status of dress-up tuning. You can check the dress-up level in the card data confirmation screen.
Q6 What kinds of dress-up tuning are there?
The following dress-up parts are available. (except for the Gemballa)

  • Wing - - - - - - - - - - -3 types
  • Wheel - - - - - - - - - - 26 types (with some wheels you can select color)
  • Aero mirror - - - - - - - 1 type

Q7 How can I change the dress-up parts?
Dress-up parts can be changed only when you get new dress-up parts. And when you get dress-up parts of the same type, you can choose whether to use those new parts or dress-up parts you got previously.
Example) When you get Aero parts set B...
You can select from "Original", "Aero parts set A" and "Aero parts set B".
Q8 The designs of wheel I can select seem to change all the time.
In Wangan Maxi 3DX, you can select wheels from 4 real manufacturers. The wheel selection screen varies depending on the manufacturer, and the designs of wheel change according to the manufacturer.
Q9 Can I change dress-up parts after I get all the dress-up parts?
After you get all dress-up parts (Dress-up level 46), you can change these parts as you wish. Each time your dress-up points are full, you can change one of your dress-up parts. So, you can change your car's appearance according to your mood.
Q10 Do dress-up parts affect on my car's performance?
They do not affect your car's capability. Pick whatever color you think looks best.
