Game mode (VS player)
  • VS mode is a mode where players fight against each other in their own cars
  • Up to 4 players can fight at the same time.
  • If you are playing Story mode, Ghost Versus Battle Mode, 10 Outrun Mode or Time Attack and set VS mode to "Accept VS challengers", players can challenge you from other connected game machines.
    In VS player mode, by using the "Challenge on/off button" attached to the cabinet, you can switch between Accept and Reject

  • Driving area, Start Ramp and Time Zone are decided by a majority vote

  • If all opponents press their brake pedal in the course introductory screen displayed before the race begins, it means that the race is serious (no handicaps).

  • If all the opponents press the Challenge on/off button in the course introductory screen displayed before the race begins, you can reject any challengers other than the current members.

  • There are some branching points in the Metropolitan highway and Hanshin Expressway loop line. Just before the branching points, you will find a panel display. It can be used to select which path to take. The top player at that point selects the path in the panel and then all the players race on the selected path.

  • If you pass the finishing line before all the other players, you win the battle.
  • If the remaining time becomes zero, the race stops and the top player at that time wins.

  • The top player can play one more game as a survivor of the previous race. ("Game mode selection screen" will be displayed).
  • You will gain the Outrun Stars depending on the result of the race.
